Bears
The basalt building regarded me
Stone-faced
Covered by a mantle of snow
And a mammoth chestnut horse
Do you know about the bears?
A voice behind
Knit beanie, blue sweats, sore on lip
Bears? There were bears here?
Before Manito, a zoo
They kept them in chains.
The voice walked on
Sorrels crunching on ice
